Cinematheque is run by the NPO Takasaki Community Cinema

and aims to bring high quality films to regional movie screens.

 

Hidden Figures (2016) USA: The story of a team of female African-American mathematicians who served a vital role in NASA in the early years of the US space program. Language: English with Japanese subtitles. Screening: Until Friday 5th January, 10:30 & 15:30 daily.

Kedi (2016) Turkey: A documentary that tracks the stories of seven cats living on the streets of Istanbul,  providing an insight to this ancient city and its unique people. Language: Turkish with Japanese subtitles. Screening: Daily from Saturday 30th December at 10:45, 15:00 & 19:05.

Interlude in Prague (2016) UK: The incredible tale of Mozart’s days spent in Prague. Language: English with Japanese subtitles. Screening: Until Friday 12th January, 13:00 & 18:00 daily.

Nocturnal Animals (2016) USA: A wealthy art gallery owner receives a draft of her ex-husband’s new novel, and once she starts reading it she just cannot put it down. Language: English with Japanese subtitles. Screening: Until Friday 5th January, 12:30 & 16:45 daily.
