One-Stop Center for Families with Children

The Takasaki One-Stop Center for Families with Children is a place where parents can access a wide range of services and facilities including:

• Play room for babies and toddlers equipped with blocks, books and simple toys
• Rest space with diaper changing facilities and a feeding room.
• Consultation desk for parents to talk with pediatric nurses and nursery teachers about children’s development; assistance enrolling in nursery school/kindergarten (Tues-Fri, 10am-6pm, TEL: 027-393-6101).
• Consultation desk for parents wanting to return to the workforce after childcare leave (Tues-Fri, 10am-5pm, TEL: 027-393-6102).
• Childcare room “Kashi-no-ki” babysitting facility for children 6 months-8 years (Everyday 7:30am-10pm, 300 yen/hr, registration necessary TEL: 027-393-6103).

Location: Ta-machi 71, 2nd floor

*No carpark. Use public parking at own expense.

 

 

 Enrolment in Nursery Schools for 2018

Nursery schools (hoikuen) are facilities that take care of children due to parents’ work or other family situations. Enrolment is now open for places in Takasaki from April 2018. To meet requirements, parents must fulfil one of the criteria below:

• Employed for more than 64 hours in a month (4 hours 4 days a week or more).
• Actively seeking employment (child care available for up to 3 months)
• Be A full-time student
• Be Sick or injured themselves
• Caring for an ill or elderly family member
• Have suffered a house fire or the effects of a natural disaster
• A victim of abuse or DV

Applications: Pick up an application package from a Takasaki nursery school. Submit all required paperwork to your first preference nursery school by Friday 20th October 2017. Places will be prioritized following an evaluation process.
