Kannonyama Kofun

観音山古墳

The beautiful Japanese keyhole-shaped tomb that is considered to be built in the late sixth century. Many burial accessories like mirrors (same as the ones excavated at Baekje), harnesses and swords were excavated at the side-hole-type stone room.

Jigan Temple

The temple has been known as the beauty spot of Weeping Cherry, especially the one called "Yonaki Zakura. The name comes from the cherry transplanted into the castle by Sakai Tadakiyo, the feudal lord of Maebashi in the Edo period. Then the tree didn't bloom and appeared in his dream to cry, so he returned the tree and it regained the energy.
