Recruitment of Volunteer Japanese Teachers
Takasaki International Relations Society’s Japanese classes for foreign residents are a place for not only learning Japanese but also for interacting, making new friends and gaining information useful for daily life in Japan. A training course will be held for prospective volunteers to gain an understanding of the basic principles of teaching Japanese to foreigners.
Open to: People 18 years of age and over who are willing to attend two days of training and complete class observations with a view to joining the TIRS and commencing volunteer activities in our Japanese classes from January 2019.
Max. Participants: 20 people (based on merit)
*Upon completion of training, membership of the TIRS is required to begin teaching as a volunteer. Membership costs \2,000 per year.
Register: Visit the TIRS office (details below) and fill out an application form by Friday 10th August.
Training Course Dates:
①Sunday 2nd September
②Sunday 2nd December
Time: 10am-4pm (both days)
Place: Chuo Kominkan (Suehiro-cho 27)
Class Observations: Observe 5 lessons at any of the Japanese class locations below during the Autumn term (September-November), and submit a simple report.
Class Locations: Chuo Kominkan, Nakai Kominkan, Gunma Fukushi Kaikan, Shinmachi Bunka Hall, Yoshii Nishi Community Center.
