The Bogoshiensha Group offer help for by interpreting and translating for people from non-Japanese speaking backgrounds so that they can have a comfortable life in this society. Help is available for filling out forms, school interviews, simple medical appointments, shopping, conversation partner and for other situations within the boundaries of international exchange that do not require specialist knowledge or that are not for profit. When a request for native language assistance is received from public offices or directly from a foreign resident, the international relations office sends a request email to registered volunteers stating the date, time and details of the request. Volunteers then decide based on their own schedule and language ability whether or not to apply to undertake the request.
