Volunteer Interpreters (Bogoshien)

Volunteer interpreters are available to help you with communication between your native language and Japanese for school visits, hospital check ups, shopping, filling in forms and other situations within the boundaries of lifestyle support and international relations. Volunteer interpreters are not available for purposes where profit is for gain or that require high level language skills or specialist knowledge. This is a free service, please apply at the International Relations Corner.

International Library (foreign book lending service)

Books in foreign languages that have been kindly donated are lent out free of charge. When you borrow a book, please fill out your name and the name of the book in the record book provided

Computer Corner

Free computer use of one hour at a time (or up to 2 hours if no-one else is waiting). Saving to hard disk is prohibited. Please fill out the record book when you use the computers

Message Board

The message board can be used to advertise things of interest to foreign residents or relating to international exchange events that are deemed appropriate for display in a public place (e.g. sale of household goods, want to learn/teach English and other non-profit advertisements). Please fill out a card available at the International Relations Corner or apply with your own advertisement
